Printed to order

Every book is printed especially for you after you order — nothing is pre-made or sitting in a warehouse. Your digital edition is emailed within 48 hours, so you always have something to give on the day, whatever the post does.

How long it takes

A printed order goes through three stages:

  1. We prepare your files — 1–2 business days. The preview you approved is turned into print-ready files and sent to our printer.
  2. Printing and binding — 3–5 business days. This is our printer's production time. Hardcovers are usually closer to 5 business days, because the case is wrapped and then left to cure before the book can be packed.
  3. Shipping — depends on the method you choose (below).

In December, printing times across the whole print industry stretch to roughly 7–10 business days. Our Christmas cut-off dates account for this.

Shipping cost and delivery times

The times below are totals from the moment you order, with printing included — not just the time your parcel spends in the post.

  • United States — Standard: FREE. Arrives in about 3–4 weeks, tracked.
  • United States — Express: $24.99. Arrives in about 10–14 days, tracked.
  • International — Tracked: $14.95. Arrives in about 3–5 weeks.
  • International — Express: $39.99. Arrives in about 2–3 weeks.
  • Digital-only orders: no shipping fee. Emailed within 48 hours.

These are estimates, not guarantees. Busy periods such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, and customs checks on international orders, can add time. If you need your book by a particular date, please order early and choose Express.

Christmas cut-off dates

  • 26 November — last day for free standard US delivery before Christmas.
  • 8 December — last day with US Express.
  • After that, the digital edition still arrives within 48 hours and the printed book follows.

Priority Production

Priority Production ($9.99) emails your digital edition within 24 hours instead of 48, and moves your book to the front of our studio queue so it reaches the printer within one business day. It does not shorten printing or shipping times, which are set by our printer and the carrier. For a faster printed delivery, choose Express shipping.

Tracking

You'll get a tracking number by email when your book ships. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking to begin updating.

Duties and taxes

Some countries charge import duties or taxes on arrival. These are the customer's responsibility.

Address problems

Please double-check your address at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we can reship it for the cost of shipping.

Lost or damaged parcels

If your book arrives damaged or misprinted, or does not match the preview you approved, we will reprint and reship it free. If tracking shows a parcel is lost in transit, contact us and we will reprint and reship at no cost to you.
